About me
My name is Simone, and after a life of traveling a lot, living abroad a lot and having the opportunity to perform all kinds of beautiful functions in the international spheres, I have been a sworn marriage officiant for the Municipality of Roosendaal and surroundings since 2017. Never thought I would ever be able to practice this wonderful profession, connecting in love with those around you who can be there. How amazing is that.
You end up in all kinds of households and family connections, with beautiful stories, sometimes less beautiful of course (well life can, at times be less beautiful), but always stories about love. And when I speak to the soon-to-be newlyweds, I get to hear great stories. With that information, and information that I (with the consent of all parties) gather from family and friends, I arrange for a speech to be given on your special day. Pronounced by me, possibly others who want to contribute, with all the important ingredients: love, humor, fun, tears of happiness, involvement, empathy but most importantly - your story. Because it is your day, your love that we may celebrate. Together.
I have the honor of marrying people in communal spaces, in halls, cafes, in gardens, parks, at the beach but also in castles. And this can be in the Netherlands, even across the border as in Portugal. On the beach, with your feet literally by the water, in Lisbon by the Sintra, in Porto by the Douro, or with views of the Atlantic Ocean. And soon ,also in Spain at various locations.
And together with you, I will make your moment special with the ingredients you want.
